In hope he (Abraham) believed against hope, that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been told “So shall your offspring be - Romans 4:18 (ESV)
Abraham had hope even though in the natural there was no way he and his wife Sarah could have children due to their old age. Abraham did not hope on what the natural looked like, his hope was based on what God had promised him. He did not waver from that promise or that hope; therefore, God gave him a son and made him a father of many nations just as He promised. When we put our hope on the promises of God and not waver into unbelief we too will see the glory of God.
Father God, I ask now that you uproot any unbelief in my heart. Holy Spirit I ask that you would fill me with hope. The hope that no matter what things look like in the natural, that my hope will be on the promises of God and what your word says. You said, “You magnify your word above your name, so I thank you for your promises and the unwavering hope that you have put in me.In Jesus Name, Amen.
